Andrea Wyatt started painting four years ago after a career in agricultural science and land degradation control. Andrea paints landscapes and the plants and animals that make the Australian environment their home. She was a finalist in the South Australian Museum’s “Waterhouse Prize” of 2010 and uses mediums of watercolour, gouache and photopolymer etchings.

Statement
“I consider that we are a part of the environment and not divorced from it and with this in mind it is up to us to fix any problem we have created; to plant native trees to fix erosion problems, to create wildlife corridors and habitat areas for the plants and animals we have endangered.”
