Artist Bio: Shannon Gillespie

Shannon Gillespie
Animals and nature fascinate Shannon Gillespie and her art reflects that with animals being the subject matter 90% of the time. Shannon is happiest sculpting in any and all material and painting in acrylics, but has a broad interest in mediums and is always keen to experiment. Shannon find her drive to create can strike at any time, leading to miniature blu-tac dogs and alfoil tigers.

Conservation Statement
I wish the public as an enthusiastic about the environment and conservation as they were about sporting events such as the recent Olympics. I think raising peoples’ awareness to conservation effort with events like this exhibition is really important to further those efforts.”
